I'm currently watching House with my parents.

No, not that House. Think more Spice Girls go to a Lady Gaga themed inn.

With a fair amount of 70's fake blood and really interesting trippy filming and effects.

I might understand it better sans jetlag of death but there's no certainty.

So I'm acquainted with the concept of "sharing"

That doesn't mean it's convenient. We both need catmacros and different times.

Also I need my bookmarks. I need them like burning.

On the bright side, the computer problems that have forced laptop sharing upon my family are being repaired almost without charge.

The battery, which would have been the biggest cost, was defective (yay?) and is getting swapped out for free.

The key board problems were also caused by an error, though this time it's just plain bad planning. Apparently the keyboard tops for my sort of laptop and a subtly different one are not differentiated by model # in any meaningful way. At some point they just put in the wrong kind. This is why my volume control button actually changes the brightness and whenever I try to close a [ it turns on the capslock. The more you know!

SF in SF programming and podcasts are available on their website.

I'm about to go see if I can't find my extra bight crazy eyeshadow from my ballet years. With any luck, I'm going off to SF for Pride tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to the chance to dress up a bit with one of my oldest friends. She's one of the few people I still keep in touch with on a regular basis, and it'll be nice to hang out.

Next week is Relative Dimensions, which will be fun given the massive cliffhanger from last week. I'm trying to do a bit of art for all the mains, but I wanted to get a less crap picture of Emily first. A little selfish, but eh.

We've agreed to look after Paul's cat Lady again while he drives to his highschool reunion in Mississipi.

This always allows for two traditional games:

Spot Bill Clinton: I know babeh Bill to be in a few of Paul's pictures. I've yet to find him. If he had the decency to dress like Waldo this wouldn't be have as annoying

Spot and hide from Lady: Lady, aka Girl, aka Oh GOD IT HAS MY FOOT IT HAS MY FOOT is a small black ex feral who adopted Paul almost two years ago. She loves him to pieces. She blames anyone infringing on her territory for his disappearance. If you accidentally find her hiding place, she will hiss and go for the toes.

Aside from the hell fires of vengeance, she's a very pretty, sweet kitty. If she just understood a few more words I could explain that Paul will be home soon and no, we didn't do anything evil.
